Lori Tatreau

Picture
Lori Tatreau was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska and completed a BFA in painting before she moved to New York. There she studied art history and ultimately completed an MFA in painting at Hunter College while working in the Public Relations Office there. Moving back to Omaha, teaching and plans to open a gallery were set aside as she became involved with local food and farming issues. For over twelve years she worked with numerous organizations and businesses, from organic farmer to farmers’ market manager; from herbalist assistant to Local Forager for Whole Foods Market Midwest Region; and from artisan vinegar sales to Harvest Dinner Coordinator. One project led to the creation of farmer owned local food distributor Lone Tree Foods. Another created a monthly concert series featuring local food trucks and benefiting local food and farming groups. Seeing the potential of nonprofits led her back to graduate school and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management. She is thrilled to be working with the Society of St Vincent de Paul especially in this time of increasing need to feed and clothe people, prevent homelessness, and with the possibilities at Holy Family.
