The SVDP Pantry offers a food pantry to the public and those in need.  We receive a portion of our food from the USDA through the Emergency Food Assistance Program, also known as TEFAP.   No ID or additional information is required to receive TEFAP food(s) as long as you are under the monthly gross income limits.  This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Now more people qualify for support buying groceries, even as they take raises at work.
See if you’re eligible for SNAP benefits through the Food Bank’s SNAP Hotline at 855-444-5556.

Giving Gardens Project

Do you have a green thumb? Do you want to help promote local food security? Does volunteering from home sound like fun? Then Grow A Row for your community, and join the Giving Gardens Project!
Giving Gardens Project Sign Up

The Giving Gardens Project is an opportunity for home gardeners to donate their excess produce to our neighbors in need. Simply sign up using the button above to stay connected and get growing*! When your produce is ready for harvest, you can deliver it to one of our drop-off locations (map coming soon!), or we can arrange for a pick up. The produce will then be distributed at a food pantry in our community providing fresh, nutritious, local fruits and vegetables to struggling families.

*Note : We encourage you to grow your garden without the use of chemical pesticides to support our native pollinators.

If you are interested in becoming a drop-off location, please contact Gillian at pantrymanager@svdpomaha.com.
Ample refrigeration space is recommended.
